Stand up For Jesus - Where to From Here?
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen
Let us pray
O Jesus I Surrender myself to You, You take over. Amen
We make no apology for stating it is time to -
Stand up for Jesus.
The time has come for the Catholic Church to stop pussy footing around to be 'all things to all people'. We must uphold the truth. The truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ
It is time for all of us to to stand up for Jesus
Where to From Here
Pope Francis' new encyclical, Fratelli Tutti, embodies one of the guiding principles of Freemasonry — this according to Spain's main Masonic lodge, the Gran Logia de España.
In a statement this week, the Gran Logia proclaimed that, in the 300 years of modern Freemasonry, it has been based on a "universal fraternity of human beings who call each other brothers and sisters despite their respective creeds, ideologies, skin color, social background, language, culture or nationality." This principle, the statement read, clashed with "religious fundamentalism" on the part of the Catholic Church, which "issued severe texts condemning the toleration of Freemasonry in the 19th century."
The statement claimed that the pope's most recent encyclical "demonstrates how far away the present Catholic Church is from its former positions. In Fratelli Tutti, the pope embraces Universal Fraternity: the great principle of modern Freemasonry." The Catholic Church and Freemasonry have long been at odds, given their very distinct philosophical and theological differences.
The statement quoted a relevant passage by the pope in the encyclical: "It is my desire that, in this our time, by acknowledging the dignity of each human person, we can contribute to the rebirth of a universal aspiration to fraternity. Fraternity between all men and women.
In Germany the head of a seminary believes the Catholic Church's disapproval of divorced and remarried couples, homosexuals, women priests, homosexual priests, and Communion shared with Protestants is wrong.
Further details of fresh financial scandals within the Vatican continue unabated.
The McCarrick report remains under cover for fear of the repercussions amongst the 'Princes' of the Church and what it would uncover.
To now there is no response from Bishop level and above even though many of them cannot be happy with recent developments. A few Priests have come out - may God protect them -and preached the Word of God.
One thing for sure is that the present situation cannot be allowed to go on unabated. This writer will continue the Stand up for Jesus campaign and will continue to pray in the way that Mary requested. - Attending Holy Mass, receiving the Blessed Sacrament and saying the Rosary.
I receive my solace trusting Christ and handing everything over to Him. He will act in a way yet ti be revealed in His own time. Mary has foretold all of this but if I am honest a few years ago i would have found what she said unbelievable - that those in responsible for the welfare of her Son's Church and faithful people would act in such a way.
And the Lamb will conquer
And the woman clothed in the Sun
Will shine Her light on everyone.
Oh Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary and Queen of Heaven Pray for us.
St Michael protect us.
Today we celebrate
Saturday of week 27 in Ordinary Time
or Saturday memorial of the Blessed Virgin Mary
On Saturdays in Ordinary Time when there is no obligatory memorial, an optional memorial of the Blessed Virgin Mary is allowed.
‘Saturdays stand out among those days dedicated to the Virgin Mary. These are designated as memorials of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This memorial derives from Carolingian times (9th century), but the reasons for having chosen Saturday for its observance are unknown. While many explanations of this choice have been advanced, none is completely satisfactory from the point of view of the history of popular piety.
‘Whatever its historical origins may be, today the memorial rightly emphasizes certain values to which contemporary spirituality is more sensitive. It is a remembrance of the maternal example and discipleship of the Blessed Virgin Mary who, strengthened by faith and hope, on that “great Saturday” on which Our Lord lay in the tomb, was the only one of the disciples to hold vigil in expectation of the Lord’s resurrection. It is a prelude and introduction to the celebration of Sunday, the weekly memorial of the Resurrection of Christ. It is a sign that the Virgin Mary is continuously present and operative in the life of the Church.
The Word of God
Luke 11:27-28 - 'Happy the womb that bore you and the breasts you sucked!'
As Jesus was speaking, a woman in the crowd raised her voice and said, ‘Happy the womb that bore you and the breasts you sucked!’ But he replied, ‘Still happier those who hear the word of God and keep it!’
Save us by the power of your hand, Father,
for our enemies have ignored your words.
May the fire of your word consume our sins
and its brightness illumine our hearts.
Give us the grace and strength
to proclaim Your Holy Word.
“O my Lord, inflame my heart with love for You, that my spirit may not grow weary amidst the storms, the sufferings and the trials. You see how weak I am. Love can do all.
The Word of The Lord - From the Old Testament
Galatians 3:22-29 · There are no more distinctions: all are one in Christ Jesus
Scripture makes no exceptions when it says that sin is master everywhere. In this way the promise can only be given through faith in Jesus Christ and can only be given to those who have this faith.
Before faith came, we were allowed no freedom by the Law; we were being looked after till faith was revealed. The Law was to be our guardian until the Christ came and we could be justified by faith. Now that that time has come we are no longer under that guardian, and you are, all of you, sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. All baptised in Christ, you have all clothed yourselves in Christ, and there are no more distinctions between Jew and Greek, slave and free, male and female, but all of you are one in Christ Jesus. Merely by belonging to Christ you are the posterity of Abraham, the heirs he was promised.
The Lord bless you and keep you.
May He show His face to you and have mercy.
May He turn His countenance to you and give you peace.
The Lord bless you!
Always remember - Jesus loves you.
