Stand up For Jesus
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen
Let us pray
O Jesus I Surrender myself to You, You take over. Amen
We make no apology for stating it is time to -
Stand up for Jesus.
As Mary forewarned Satan has made inroads into the Holy Church of God. We must therefore do as Mary requested pray, renew belief in, and, devotion to the Blessed Sacrament - the true presence - through Holy Mass, Adoration, Benediction, spending time before the Tabernacle and saying each day the Rosary. The Importance of Prayer
The times we are living through have been foretold both by Our Blessed Mother and in the Holy Word of God. For the second time this writer has decided to stop commenting on the issues of the day and concentrate on prayer. The situation has gone past anything I can do to change it and there is always the danger of scandal.
This column with concentrate on prayer including the Holy Rosary (see below) given the fact that we place our faith on God and His Son Jesus Christ and as He requested trust Him and hand our problems, our troubles, over to Him.
Join us in our journey.
O Jesus I surrender myself, my worries, my troubles over to you, as You have requested. Jesus I trust You, You take over
Today we celebrate
Saints Simon and Jude, Apostles
Simon is eleventh in the list of the twelve Apostles. He is known as Simon the Zealot,
Jude, also called Thaddaeus, is the apostle who at the Last Supper asked the Lord why he showed himself only to the disciples and not to the world. He is the patron saint of lost and desperate causes.
cf.Te Deum
We praise you, O God,
we acknowledge you to be the Lord.
The glorious company of the apostles praise you, O Lord.
The Word of God
Luke 6:12-16 - Jesus chooses his twelve apostles
Jesus went out into the hills to pray; and he spent the whole night in prayer to God. When day came he summoned his disciples and picked out twelve of them; he called them ‘apostles’: Simon whom he called Peter, and his brother Andrew; James, John, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James son of Alphaeus, Simon called the Zealot, Judas son of James, and Judas Iscariot who became a traitor.
MORNING PRAYER
This morning, Lord,
in our hour of great need
we lift up our hands to praise you.
We thirst for you; we long for you.
Help us to love you more than life itself
and to know that You are our Saviour
With You we have everything
Without You we have nothing
Amen
St. Faustina Kowalska,
“Love endures everything, love is stronger than death, love fears nothing.”
Diary of Saint Maria Faustina Kowalska:
The Word of The Lordtter - From the Letter of St Paul
Ephesians 2:19-22 · In Christ you are no longer aliens, but citizens like us
You are no longer aliens or foreign visitors: you are citizens like all the saints, and part of God’s household. You are part of a building that has the apostles and prophets for its foundations, and Christ Jesus himself for its main cornerstone. As every structure is aligned on him, all grow into one holy temple in the Lord; and you too, in him, are being built into a house where God lives, in the Spirit.
Each day I pray that the Lord will bless you and keep you.
May He show His face to you and have mercy.
May He turn His countenance to you and give you peace.
The Lord bless you!
Amen.
Always remember - Jesus loves you.
Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in our hour of conflict. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil; May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; And do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and all evil spirits who wander through the world for the ruin of souls. Amen.
The Holy Rosary
Our Blessed Mother explained to us what would happen in the World and in the Church if people continued to turn from God. One of the things she asked us to do was to say the Rosary everyday. Please find a few minutes today to fulfil her request.
Today we pray The Glorious Mysteries
We finish as we begun
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen
