Stand up For Jesus ; Fatima - The Final Prophecy
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen
Let us pray
O Jesus I Surrender myself to You, You take over. Amen
We make no apology for stating it is time to -
Stand up for Jesus.
The time has come for the Catholic Church to stop pussy footing around to be 'all things to all people'. We must uphold the truth. The truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ
It is time for all of us to to stand up for Jesus
Fatima - The Final Prophecy?
A final and belated prophecy from Fatima seems to have come in the form of a letter written by Sister Lucia to Cardinal Carlo Caffara. He had written to her asking for her prayers as he had been commissioned by Pope John Paul II to establish the Pontifical Institute for the Studies on Marriage and the Family. The year was 1981. According to Cardinal Caffara, she wrote back with the following: "The final battle between the Lord and the reign of Satan will be about marriage and the family. Don’t be afraid, she added, because anyone who operates for the sanctity of marriage and the family will always be contended and opposed in every way, because this is the decisive issue. And then she concluded: however, Our Lady has already crushed its head." In the Church we seem to have at the moment an effort not as yet disowned by the Holy Father to destroy the concept of marriage and family life as we know it and as desired by God. We have in this so called modernism or 'pastoral care' the need to allow abortion, artificial birth control, same sex marriage and an understanding of what once was known as 'living in sin!' All of these represent an attack on the Family. My concern is that whilst the encyclical just released by Pope Francis recognises all the problems it seems on the face of it to negate several but important Christian never mind Catholic doctrines. That said God gave us 10 commandments. The sixth thou shalt not kill. Seventh thou shalt not commit adultery. Tenth thou shalt not covet thy neighbours wife. In both the old and the new testament homosexuality is described as an abomination. Given this background one does really wonder if the warnings of Our Blessed Mother are really happening in front of our very eyes.
The encyclical if one wanted to be cynical is little more than a Communist manifesto.
At no stage does it mention Family Life.
It is lukewarm on abortion - (and that is being kind).
Defends 'Human Rights'
And yet these were the main things that Our Lady warned us about. It condemns capitalism yes does not mention the scandal of the Vatican finances!
It seems to accept that there is a way to the Father other than Jesus. I say no more. What price the Word of God???. In the book of Revelation which is prophecy completing the Bible, just as Genesis began the Bible, it states "For I testify unto every man that hears the words of the prophecy of this Book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this Book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the Book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the Book of Life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this Book" Revelation 22:18-19.
Short but telling reading
1 John 4:14-15
We ourselves saw and we testify that the Father sent his Son as Saviour of the world. If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him, and he in God.
Today we celebrate
Tuesday of week 27 in Ordinary Time
or Saint Bruno, Priest
Bruno pioneered the “mixed” form of religious life, of hermits who live together in a community. He did not plan to found an Order, but the seed he had planted at Chartreuse grew into the Carthusian Order, which continues to this day, with some 24 houses spread across the world.
Other saints: Blessed Marie Rose Durocher (1811 - 1849)
She died on 6 October 1849 at the age of 38. By her faith, her judgement and her apostolic creativity, this woman had a great influence on the society and the Church of Quebec.
The Word of God
Luke 10:38-42 - Martha works; Mary listens
Jesus came to a village, and a woman named Martha welcomed him into her house. She had a sister called Mary, who sat down at the Lord’s feet and listened to him speaking. Now Martha who was distracted with all the serving said, ‘Lord, do you not care that my sister is leaving me to do the serving all by myself? Please tell her to help me.’ But the Lord answered: ‘Martha, Martha,’ he said ‘you worry and fret about so many things, and yet few are needed, indeed only one. It is Mary who has chosen the better part; it is not to be taken from her.’
Show us your mercy, Lord;
our misery is known to us.
May no evil desires prevail over us this day,
for your glory and love dwell in our hearts
St. Faustina Kowalska,
“prepare for great battles. Know that you are now on a great stage where all heaven and earth are watching you. Fight like a knight, so that I can reward you. Do not be unduly fearful, because you are not alone.”
The Word of The Lord
Galatians 1:13-24 · God called me through his grace and chose to reveal his Son in me
You must have heard of my career as a practising Jew, how merciless I was in persecuting the Church of God, how much damage I did to it, how I stood out among other Jews of my generation, and how enthusiastic I was for the traditions of my ancestors.
Then God, who had specially chosen me while I was still in my mother’s womb, called me through his grace and chose to reveal his Son in me, so that I might preach the Good News about him to the pagans. I did not stop to discuss this with any human being, nor did I go up to Jerusalem to see those who were already apostles before me, but I went off to Arabia at once and later went straight back from there to Damascus. Even when after three years I went up to Jerusalem to visit Cephas and stayed with him for fifteen days, I did not see any of the other apostles; I only saw James, the brother of the Lord, and I swear before God that what I have just written is the literal truth. After that I went to Syria and Cilicia, and was still not known by sight to the churches of Christ in Judaea, who had heard nothing except that their one-time persecutor was now preaching the faith he had previously tried to destroy; and they gave glory to God for me.
The Lord bless you and keep you.
May He show His face to you and have mercy.
May He turn His countenance to you and give you peace.
The Lord bless you!
Always remember - Jesus loves you.
