Stand up For Jesus - Our Lady of the Rosary
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen
Let us pray
O Jesus I Surrender myself to You, You take over. Amen
We make no apology for stating it is time to -
Stand up for Jesus.
The time has come for the Catholic Church to stop pussy footing around to be 'all things to all people'. We must uphold the truth. The truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ
It is time for all of us to to stand up for Jesus
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you.
Blessed are you among women
and blessed is the fruit of your womb.
Mary - The Way Forward
We are told in the Acts of the Apostles Acts 1:12-14 when Jesus was taken up into Heaven the Apostles with Mary and others went to the upper room and engaged in continuous prayer. Today we are face with a situation where the world and the Church has truly been shaken. Mary forewarned of this in various apparitions - a world turning from God; Satans infiltration of the Church were we have Cardinal against Cardinal etc., attacks on traditional Family Life - the basic structure of Humanity. We have 'Peters Pence' a charity set up to help the poor being used to buy luxurious blocks of property in London and financing a film featuring homosexuality. We have other financial scandals with huge sums involved including the Cardinal Pell fiasco. All this and no mention of the McCarrick situation involving homosexuality involving Cardinals in the US. On the back of all of this we have moves to change the traditional doctrine of the Church to suit a more modern world. We have even a belief that there is but no hell - probably the greatest achievement of the Devil.
Mary has forewarned us of this. Yet we doubt! Mary our Mother, mother of Jesus also told us the way forward to safety. Holy Mass, renewed belief in and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, prayer including the Rosary. Yet whilst much has been written of the current state of the world including 'Fratelli Tutti' Jesus, Prayer, Mary, the Blessed Sacrament are bearly mentioned if at all.
Today is the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary. The feast was instituted by Pope Pius V to celebrate the anniversary of the defeat of the Turkish fleet at the battle of Lepanto on the first Sunday in October 1571. (What price Fratelli Tutti?).
I pray that the laity will rise above the present situation, attend Holy Mass, Pray the Rosary, insist on the reinstatement of Eucharistic Celebration, Adoration and Benediction.
If we follow the way that Mary has shown us, if we place Christ at the centrepoint of our lives everything else will follow. Praise God
Stand up for Jesus
Today we celebrate
Our Lady of the Rosary
The feast of the Holy Rosary was instituted by Pope Pius V to celebrate the anniversary of the defeat of the Turkish fleet at the battle of Lepanto on the first Sunday in October 1571
The Word of God
Luke 1:26-38 - 'I am the handmaid of the Lord'
The angel Gabriel was sent by God to a town in Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the House of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. He went in and said to her, ‘Rejoice, so highly favoured! The Lord is with you.’ She was deeply disturbed by these words and asked herself what this greeting could mean, but the angel said to her, ‘Mary, do not be afraid; you have won God’s favour. Listen! You are to conceive and bear a son, and you must name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his ancestor David; he will rule over the House of Jacob for ever and his reign will have no end.’ Mary said to the angel, ‘But how can this come about, since I am a virgin?’ ‘The Holy Spirit will come upon you’ the angel answered ‘and the power of the Most High will cover you with its shadow. And so the child will be holy and will be called Son of God. Know this too: your kinswoman Elizabeth has, in her old age, herself conceived a son, and she whom people called barren is now in her sixth month, for nothing is impossible to God.’ ‘I am the handmaid of the Lord,’ said Mary ‘let what you have said be done to me.’ And the angel left her.
O Mary, you embody
all God taught to our race,
For you are first and foremost
on fullness of grace;
We praise this wondrous honour
that you gave birth to Him
Who from you took humanity
and saved us from our sin.
St. Faustina Kowalska,
“If the angels were capable of envy, they would envy us for two things: one is the receiving of Holy Communion, and the other is suffering.”
The Word of The Lord - From the Acts
Acts 1:12-14 · The apostles all joined in continuous prayer with Mary, the mother of Jesus
After Jesus was taken up into heaven the apostles went back from the Mount of Olives, as it is called, to Jerusalem, a short distance away, no more than a sabbath walk; and when they reached the city they went to the upper room where they were staying; there were Peter and John, James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot, and Jude son of James. All these joined in continuous prayer, together with several women, including Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.
The Lord bless you and keep you.
May He show His face to you and have mercy.
May He turn His countenance to you and give you peace.
The Lord bless you!
Always remember - Jesus loves you.
