For Our Troubled World

For Our Troubled World

We pray for for all suffering people particularly those in the Middle East. The situation is unforgivable. Whilst on our own we can do little we join all our prayers with yours to the Holy Spirit to guide everyone on the path of righteousness.

Mistreatment of any human being is wrong never mind torture. Jesus said ‘Love one another as I have loved you’ and in another ‘ whatever you do to the least of My children you do unto Me’.

Lord God, no one is a stranger to you and no one is ever far from your loving care. In your kindness, watch over refugees and bring them back safely to the place where they long to be and help us always to show your kindness to strangers and to all in need through Christ our Lord

Jesus said - unless you become like little children you will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven. We pray that all children born and unborn will experience the richness of God and that we in turn pray for the eradication  of poverty, oppression, wars and famine.

May the Christ Candle we light symbolise our desire to bring light into a world of darkness and hope into a world of despair. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen

We are all citizens of this Earth. All God’s children. Jesus is God of all no matter where they were born. We are bound in a proper society to respect the rights of all. I trust when we arrive at heavens door God will welcome us all equally.

Lord, protect all refugees in their travels. May they find a friend in me. And so make me worthy Of the refuge I have found in you.

Power corrupts and it is at the root of European politics including Brexit. Governments should care for the common good of all their citizens and come together as one. The more unchristian we become the less we seem to care for each other especially the poor and those in need.

We are pilgrims on a journey,

and companions on the road.

We are here to help each other,

walk the mile and bear the load
