For Peace and Goodness

For Peace and Goodness

To build peace we first must have peace in our hearts - the peace of Christ. From this everything else follows. May the peace of Christ settle within us and may that peace permeate within our homes and our community spreading its love.

God gave his son Jesus to die for us on the cross. His final words included ‘Father forgive them for they know not what they do’ May we take this as our inspiration and help that we too can be as generous and show the way to the love of God.

Heavenly Father we ask for the compassion to follow the inspiring example of the good Samaritan. Help us to embrace and bring comfort to those suffering immensely. Let us remember that each day that we help someone we are helping you. Amen.

With the demise of the family society is breaking down. We pray that whatever struggles families experience they will turn to God for help. He is there and will help. We pray that families and all people return to God in prayer - the family that prays together stays together.

Contrary to the growing consumerist individualism that tends to isolate us in a quest for well-being apart from others, our path to holiness can only make us identify all the more with Jesus’ prayer “that all may be one; even as you, Father, are in me, and I in you” (Jn 17:21).

Help us dear Jesus, open our hearts. So that we can embrace each other with tenderness, let us sow the seeds of tolerance, love and service. And with God's blessings, we will live a life full of joy and harmony.

Most of us want to help others. Life is like a ocean, we sometimes need to throw out a life preserver to someone overboard. Today, lets just take one small step. Let’s just pray that when we have a chance to assist, we can and will.

This is what Jesus asks and expects of us. Lord let me serve you and by so doing others. Give me the great strength of gentleness and the power to love others especially at times when I do not find it easy

Jesus we who love Thee are under constant attack from Satan. Give us the knowledge dear Lord, to understand these and with Your strength to overcome them and to love You even more. With You I am rich enough and I ask for nothing more.

Jesus said, love your Lord and God above all things and your neighbour as yourself. In my younger days this was a way of life. Now in this society as people have turned from Christ it is a selfish closed door society. The more I see of modern thinking - the more I believe in God.

We thank God for our health and our strength. My beloved Mother taught me ‘there by the grace of God go I’ We pray for all who need our prayer at this time and thank God for all the blessings we have.

The world will never be the dwelling place of peace till peace has found a home in the heart of each and every person, till every person preserves in himself the order ordained by God to be preserved.

A world at prayer is a world at peace

Most of us want to help others. Life is like a ocean, we sometimes need to throw out a life preserver to someone overboard. Today, lets just take one small step. Let’s just pray that when we have a chance to assist, we can and will.

When we grow strong in God’s grace we understand God’s love and forgiveness and learn to love and forgive others.

We are all made in God’s image. If we followed the way, the truth, and the Life we would have peace in our hearts and the grace to love our neighbour as ourselves.

Lord God,

hear my prayer, show me the way to peace.

Guide my life  so that my faults and sins

may not keep me from the peace You promised.

May the new life of grace You give me

through the Eucharist and prayer

make my love for You grow

and keep me in the joy of Your Kingdom

We are all made in God’s image. If we followed the way, the truth, and the Life we would have peace in our hearts and the grace to love our neighbour as ourselves.

God the Father, You will all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of Your truth. Send workers into your great harvest that the Gospel be preached to all and Your people gathered together by Your Word of Life and strengthened by the Sacraments, may advance salvation and love

Lord God, thank You for today. Thank You for my life. There are so many people around me, people I interact with on a daily basis. Please show me how I can help them. Help me to be less selfish and more thoughtful, willing to help where needed.

Let us give all that we have to the Lord and let him do the rest. Relay and depend on God. He will work wonderous miracles. Amen

If you wish peace to reign in your homes - recite the family rosary

Jesus said ‘unless you become like little children you will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven” Lord Jesus give me a childlike love of all mankind each and everyone made in your image and all of whom sinners or saints you love and open Your Sacred Heart to them.

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.

Where there is hatred let me sow love.

Where there is injury; pardon.

Where there is doubt; faith.

Where there is despair; hope.

Where there is darkness; light.

Where there is sadness; joy.

Help us dear Jesus, open our hearts. So that we can embrace each other with tenderness, let us sow the seeds of tolerance, love and service. And with God's blessings, we will live a life full of joy and harmony.

When we grow strong in God’s grace we understand God’s love and forgiveness and learn to love and forgive others.

We pray for peace in this troubled world. We pray that all may return to peace, in hearts, in homes and countries but let it begin with me.

Lord God, may we be grateful for our lot, and compassionate toward all those who are suffering every kind of distress or difficulty. May we hold back nothing, and hasten to be the ministers of prayer and mercy, like the disciples of Him who went about doing good in times of need

Saint Joseph, patron of the universal Church, watch over the Church as carefully as you watched over Jesus, help protect it and guide it as you did with your adopted son. Amen
