Redemption and Forgiveness

We adore your cross O Lord, we praise and glorify your Holy Resurrection, for behold, because of the wood of a tree joy has come to the whole world.

The death of Jesus to any objective observer seems like utter failure, to believe in the Lord seems stupid, but those with the eyes of faith can see the power of love in that death.

​

​

Lord by your passion death and resurrection lead us all to eternal life because by your holy cross You have redeemed the world

​

Jesus by your cross you redeemed me. I have done nothing to deserve this. Each time I sin I drive the nails deeper the thorns tighter. Yet you said ‘Father forgive them for they know not what they do’ What a wonderful God we have. By your cross give me the strength to sin no more

By ourselves we are broken. With the Lord we are made whole. We pray for those who search that they will find the peace of Christ. God loved us so much that he gave His only begotten Son so that we can have life. By our example may we lead others to Christ.

This is God’s love. 

Look at the Crucifix and say to yourself: 

“God loves me.” 

It’s true, there are these limitations, these weaknesses, these sins, 

but He is greater than the limitations and the weaknesses and the sins.

​

Many Saints were in fact sinners until they found God who transformed their lives. We only have to think of Paul who persecuted the early believers. We take solace therefore that there is hope for all us sinners redeemed by such a glorious Saviour. Praise God!

O My Jesus, 

often have I signed the death warrant by my sins; 

save me by Thy death from that eternal death 

which I have so often deserved

​

​

Lord Jesus Christ, 

I am sorry for things I have done wrong in my life. 

I ask for forgiveness and turn from everything which I know is wrong. 

Thank you for dying on the cross for me. 

Please come into my life through your Word, 

fill me with your Holy Spirit and be with me forever.
